Ashlyn King is a documentarian, producer, and avid researcher of anthropology with a passion for exploring diverse cultures and sharing their stories with the world. As a candidate for a Bachelor of Arts in film and Video Studies in 2025, Ashlyn has spent years immersing herself in different societies, conducting in-depth research, and capturing her experiences on film. Producer of award-winning films such as, THE SEA BEFORE US (2024) and VERMILION WILDFIRE (2024), she brings her creative, business, and people management skills and fieldwork knowledge to any film making endeavor.
Her dedication to her craft has been recognized with two prestigious film festival awards, a testament to her talent and commitment. She has gained invaluable international film experience through documentary work on Bengal Tiger conservation in Nepal and interning in Japan learning and working with global filmmakers and industries all while honing her cultural sensitivity and language skills. Currently, Ashlyn is expanding her linguistic abilities by studying three additional languages, Spanish, Japanese, and Korean, further deepening her understanding of global perspectives and enhancing their ability to connect with people from various backgrounds.
